The Prepaid Card is ideal for
- travellers who need an alternative to their credit card and want to set their own “personal spending limits” in advance
- young people learning to handle their own money. It’s the handiest “wallet” for pocket money or cash gifts and the perfect introduction to cashless payments at the same time.
How can I order my card?
Order your Prepaid Card digitally - quickly and easily - via ID Austria (formerly Handysignatur).
When ordering via VideoID, please note that you will need a webcam, a microphone, a valid photo ID (passport or similar official ID), proof of salary/income (as a PDF or image file) and your mobile phone. VideoID applications can be submitted any day of the week, but only between 7:00 and 22:00 (CET).
A prepaid card carries a previously loaded credit balance. This makes it particularly secure and ideal for online purchases, but it can be used for everyday shopping as well. You can top up your credit balance at any time.

Your credit balance
When you have used up or want to top up your credit balance, you can load more funds onto the card as often as you like, within the agreed limits.
Loading the card with funds
Money can be loaded onto a prepaid card either by bank transfer, online banking or direct cash payment at a bank. All loaded funds are credited to your personal prepaid credit account and are available to you as soon as received. Please remit all payments to the account number provided on your account statement.
Loading limits:
Minimum loadable amount: EUR 20,-
Maximum loadable amount: EUR 2.500,-
The loaded amount will soon be available to you anywhere in the world.
